Posted in The Club

Renegades Rugby Football Club is one of the most successful rugby clubs in Bermuda with around one hundred active members. The club runs a full first and second team squad, a Ladies touch rugby squad, also the best team on the island, and coach the Bermuda U16's and U19's youth teams. They welcome players of any age and ability and those visiting the island who are looking for a game.

The membership of the club is in the main expats however the club is tied to the Prospect Primary School. Through this association the club has developed a floodlit training facility at their Old Military Road, Devonshire site, has expanded its links with the local community, extended its youth program.

During the summer Renegades runs a non-contact corporate tag rugby competition with men’s, women’s, and mixed divisions. In addition to this the club plays, beach touch rugby, weekly on Horseshoe Beach as a means to stay fit.

The club has an extremely active social calendar. Events include a hosted tent at the World Rugby Classic in November, the first booze cruise of the season in April, an annual summer party, and a golf day in September. However perhaps the highlight of the year is their annual dinner at which former Irish and British Lions representatives Mick Galwey and Peter ‘The Claw’ Clohessy have attended and spoken.

Also worth mentioning is the Christmas get-to-together 'Christmas Shopping'– an ironic name as it has nothing to do with shopping and even less to do with Christmas.
