Delano’s Dames had numerous scoring opportunities throughout the game

Earlier in the day the Old Boys were out in force to support the Women’s team taking on the Po Po.

The gains at their strength and conditioning classes began to shine through this week, with Police players wilting all over field with the slightest caress. Police’s cries could be heard all over the island with local tour operators frothing at the thought of an early whale watching season beginning.

The pressure was off top try scorer Melissa Field as her father thankfully stayed at home allowing her to pick up a hat trick. Nikki Palle added a magnificent conversion from Frog Lane while Mulligan embarrassingly fluffed the other two attempts.

Delano’s Dames had numerous scoring opportunities throughout the game but were denied due to honesty policy reffing.

The final score of 17-5 wasn’t enough to place the Women top of the table as Mariners pulled out a last minute win against the Teachers. No thanks to Amy Harvey who pulled a Mariners jersey on quicker than her husbands ability to make 5.01 drinks on a Friday. Thankfully Captain and Coach where on hand to remind her of the rankings, the bench is patiently waiting for her next round.

Next week will see past legends make a return to play in Founders Day where the women will have 3 games taking on the best of the rest.
