Eight Renegades players called up for international duty

The Bermuda National team's 2016 Caribbean championship campaign ended with 1 win and 2 defeats, bringing to end any hopes of qualifying for 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan. Bermuda lost heavily to Mexico and Cayman, but beat Bahamas 30-13 at home. Renegades stalwart Peter Dunkerley captained the Bermuda side which included Tom Healy, Bennet Gibson, Jahan Cedenio, Rich Howells and Conor Mcglynn, who converted to hooker after 57 years of playing in the back row. The side was coached by Renegades player coach Barry Archibald.

Renegades also had representation on the Bermuda U19s team who travelled to Miami for the U19s Caribbean Championships. Cedric Ennis and Calum Maule were part of the squad that were beaten by Trindad & Tobago and USA South, but ended with a win against Turks and Caicos.

A special mention goes to Jamie Baum, who made an impact on his international refereeing debut by dishing out 5 yellow cards in the Cayman Islands game against Bahams.
