The Renegades went over for 6 tries on their way to comfortable bonus point win against Police. Chief goal hanger Jimmy Bum snuck over for 4 tries and Archiballs put in another flawless kicking display with six conversions. Renegades started strongly and drove over for an early try, with Bum reportedly pick-pocketing McChynn to get his name on the scoresheet. Jimmy stole another try before half time and young winger Tyler grouted his way over in the corner to make it 21-3 at half time. After spending the first half sulking on the sideline, Benny Five Names got a lucky break off the kick off when the Police prop fell over in front of him. Unfortunately he didn't have the legs to make it all the way so he gifted another try to Bum. With the scoreline looking comfortable and the bonus point secure, Renegades took the opportunity to bring on some of the younger players. Unfortunately Simon Petting-Zoo only had time to finish one Corona before he was needed back on the field after replacement prop Tray sprained his ankle after 5 milliseconds. A late try from Greg Garside looked to have sealed the deal, but the Police dug deep to go over for a consolation try at the end.
Earlier in the day, the Ladies team kept their unbeaten season alive with a 2 tries from Welsh rookie Leah and one for Melissa. The girls were also able to put out a 2nd team for a game against Police 2nds, where a try from Jozelle made sure it was 3 wins from 3 for the Renegades.
