Renegades Ladies finished the season with a commanding 2-1 win over Mariners Ladies on Sunday. Whilst some of the old ladies jetted off to Vermont for a boozy husband free weekend, new rookies stepped up to grab some well earned game time. Jessica Cassidy snatched the first try with a ballsy intercept through the middle and she had the legs to carry her to the end line.
Mariners clawed one back, but the Renegades ladies pulled their opposition left and right and after some magic in the middle of the field Mrs. Cassidy was on fire again adding a second try to the score sheet. Head Coach Jonathan Cassidy, sporting his beloved Renegades top, was heard screaming "My wife is AWESOME" from the sidelines. This was a positive win for the ladies who are looking forward to a successful run at the Scully Cup.
Apologies were received from Maeve, after a low key bowling game the previous night, things escalated quickly and she was last seen sleeping on the balcony of Cairo. The night wasn't a total loss though, as Captain Mulligan regained entry to the popular 'nightclub' after a minor misunderstanding with her entry rights. Renegades ladies winning on all fronts this weekend. No credit however was given to Jamie Baum, as much as he tried to claim it.
